It is better to incomplete a major effort! (2)

Softly, I said, “I won’t be able to do all that in only three years!” to which he responded, “Of course, you might not be able to do it all, but it is better to attempt and incomplete a major effort than to accomplish a small one.”

Even today I think I received an excellent piece of advice.

“It is better to incomplete a major effort!”

I jotted it down on a slip of paper and kept it with me like a good-luck charm.

The next point probably irrelevant, but in Greek Professor Ide’s advice would be Mega aplhma, and written in Greek script it looks similar to a revelation from Apollo at the Oracle of Delphi.

I was delighted with this thought.
